As their shooting skills progress, Juniors have access to club competitions using the loan firearms.

School

School Training Program

Since 2007 SSAA Bendigo has been working with local schools to provide a firearms education and training program as a sports elective. To date over 115 students have passed the Victorian Firearms Safety Course, and gone on to learn advanced safety and target shooting skills from SSAA volunteer instructors.

Youth training Scheme

Youth Training Scheme

The Bendigo Branch runs open days for Juniors interested in trying the shooting sports, but who aren’t yet licensed. Club firearms and ammunition are provided along with coaching and safety training from qualified instructors.The Youth Training Scheme is held on the 2nd Sunday of each Month from 10.00am. at the Marong Rifle Range. Cost $5

Cadets

Cadet Training

Central Victorian Cadet Units T.S. Bendigo (Naval Cadets) and 410 Squadron (Air Force Cadets) have joined with SSAA Bendigo in the past to supplement their standard firearms training with sessions at the Marong Rifle Range, with coaching supplied by SSAA instructors.
